POEM: That Let Go

Lovers embrace as the sulfur cloud rises
While a moonshiner does what he does best
The subtle grace of this tangerine escapade
Was still portrayed by their yet hopeful face
I see the blue flame dancing
Not as wild as the fables of the old
But mild enough to get you through the cold
While a carnival of carnivores feast in the corner
Immune to the carousel of mongrels
Never to realize that it's all a repeat
The parade of a century
A floundering zeitgeist seasoned with the curse of pride
All was defined to be turned twisted and molded to use
A silk scarf is two pulls away from being a noose
Once you were carefree but were named careless
Twice you were human but none could care less
While you ponder through the ticking..
The gift of desensitization is priceless
Lovers embrace only when the sulfur crowd rises

We are prone to ask "why me" Let's see what happens if we ask "why not" "You are only as healthy as you feel" As we measure everything Against our notions Of what it should be Or how it isn't Each passing shadow Is a reflection of your soul Maybe there is no greater purpose And we are bound in a time loop Only as happy as we let ourselves be Definitions..definitons..definitions Put your head down and run Run till you make us proud And point at those who differ This is our self built conundrum I once was obedient I once was forgiving I once was kind I once was living I once was cruel I once was ecstatic I once was selfish I once was a sinner I once was a giver I once was a rebel I once was a king And all i have found is that I am a mere sum of my parts Letting go and holding on Instantaneously Spirals and stardust To be dispersed in every direction But holding on to my conviction Of being humane And if you overlo...

POEM: Subline

Cover me in a veil of sorrow And i will give you my shame As i rest my bones Against the waves That will only be as dense As my heart is... Once and always Twice and never Breaths taken  And baits forsaken As you reach a point Where instincts dissolve And senses falter By vice or by choice As you are tired  To even express... Just as you are tired Of not being expressive Just as you are sad Of not being mad anymore Quite as you are mad Of not being seen Just as you chose not to see Believe your sin Indifference is a duality... Glazed in vanity, inanity and profanity Sanity, reign a day, rein a tic, heretic verity Seraphic brevity, clarity, always just out of reach And I will not preach As i chose not to listen What you prose to teach Cower me in a labyrinth of tomorrow... And i will revel you to my grave..
